 Jim,

6O is a good prefix for Somalia, and if it's issued by whatever
non-government they have, it would be OK. For cty.dat purposes,
 it should be Somalia.

It's just the licenses issued by the northern Somaliland group
that would not be good, no matter what prefix they used. Yes,
Baldur used the 6O, when he was in Somaliland.

RE: [DX-NEWS] QSL Question

2003-07-15 Thread Bernie McClenny, W3UR
Randy,
You might want to hold off QSLing JE9IKG and ask him if he is the QSL
manager for current (July 2003) QSOs. Sam (VK2BVS), also the same guy
who trained (?) the H44 stations, told me no QSLs as this is a training
station. When I got my license they told me that a QSL was the final
courtesy of a QSO! Guess that isn't so any more!

There was some talk that 6O0A would not be qsl'ing recent contacts. This
seems to be a "ham radio school" there so I wrote the last known qsl
manager,JE9IKG who responded to my question if he was the qsl manager in
the
reply below.

Dear Randy,

Thanks for your mail. Yes I am, but only via SASE because
I am not a member of JARL now. QSL cards are under preparing
because of my mission abroad.
  Sorry for your inconvenience.

Tomoo

6O0A wouldn't count for DXCC anyway, only T5 counts for Somalia.
