To recreate this bug, all I need to do is open an application from the
launcher. I then close it. Left clicking on the application does not
work. I have even confirmed multiple times that the program was closed.
The only way I can reopen the application is with the middle

You're right, Marcelo. I've used workspaces function to move the
LibreOffice Writer window, and the menu bar was behind the Unity's top
bar. So, I think Writer is initiated in a wrong window position.

ago while it was still in beta.
Today, upon logging into this machine, the Unity Dekstop was missing the
top-panel and the launcher. I had to then press the power button for 5
