This would be a UI change, which pre-release would need a UI freeze
exception. It's not a string change, which would affect translations,
but I'm not sure to what extent we care about making documentation
screenshots inconsistent.

Some cycles ago we had discussions about the difference between UI
changes and fixes (mostly when Unity was still changing late in the
cycle).
I think the agreement was that small tweaks to things like margins,
alignments, colors are bugfixes. We don't
That does make sense, and I lean towards acceptance. I'll wait for the
rest of the SRU team to be able to express their preference, though, as
this is the first time I can recall dealing with this :).

Now that in 14.04 the menu can be again on the top of the windows, this
bug becomes more important.
With Focus-follow-mouse activated, it is not possible to rename/delete
desktop elements if the desktop is not completely free.

Yes, I am use Unity. I have autologon on boot (for ) and during work several
times per day I lock my computer or it's locked after idle time. This issue
happens several times per day, so now I just turn off autolock on idle and dont
lock my computer manually.

namely the two variables active and scaleWasActive are false.
A window which set as Always on Top make wm.IsWindowOnTop(xid) return false,
and this make any_on_top keep false.
Finally active will be set as false.

When I lock the screen while a VirtualBox VM is running in fullscreen,
the lockscreen doesn't react to any input, keyboard or mouse.
As a workaround, it's possible to switch to a workspace without a
fullscreen VM or to leave fullscreen before locking the screen.

I too experienced the same issue. As a workaround:
1) Alt+F2 to console window and login,
2) Type unity --replace and hit Enter.
...and now the keyboard is working on the lock-screen again.

On a side note: multitouch in xorg is very problematic. Just now I had
to reboot my xps touch screen laptop because the mouse pointer emulation
logic no longer worked (pointer simply disappeared on touch). In another
attempt playing with multitouch, xserver simply crashed and I was sent
back to
hmm, and pointer emulation actually still works for other apps when
their windows are focused. You just can't focus them by tapping them.

So, when you run a QML app and tap on it, it seems that the mouse
pointer emulation dies but multitouch events still flow normally as
unity still responds to 3-finger (window drags, alt-tab switch) and
4-finger (show/hide dash, launcher drag) gestures

Eclipse menus
After additional research, I realized that this bug is invalid against
accountsservice.
Instead, the bug is in Unity-Control-Center, which fails to change the
login mode when locking an account. A user who is already in the
nopasswordlogin group, therefore, will not be dropped from the
Ubuntu 14.04 with latest updates.
Kingsoft Office 9.1.0.4280 (OpenOffice also)
Hotkeys (Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V, Ctrl+S, etc.) don't work in non-latin
(cyryllic) layout.
Please fix that old and dummy bag.
