Hello Jim,

I remember seeing this last January and saved it hoping to be able to use
the info someday. The someday is now.

I just completed the IOTA contest last weekend and it made me think of
tracking my IOTA credits in DX4WIN. I presently have 394 IOTA's confirmed.
(They did a great job of card checking at Visalia last April). NONE of these
IOTA's show confirmed in the AWARDS section of my DX4WIN log window. I have
never tracked my IOTA's in DX4WIN other than typing in the IOTA number and
IOTA name into appropriate boxes when I log an IOTA contact. But I do
generate ADIF's files from DX4WIN to submit to IOTA.

As per your instructions below to Mike, R3BM, I went to your app notes.

Something I don't understand that I am sure I am missing is how to enter my
IOTA data from the IOTA website into DX4WIN. I do not see any ADIF file
download to output to DX4WIN. They do provide a Excel CSV file but I don't
know how to download it into DX4WIN.

In reviewing the app note, I also decided it would be a good thing to enter
all my DXCC credits to DX4WIN. I come under the category you mentioned
under: " If you already have ARRL DXCC credits, but none of them are tracked
in DX4WIN, then start here instead" "I already have DXCC Award credits, but
have never tracked them in DX4WIN. What do I do?" As you pointed out, I can
list all my DXCC credits from the ARRL LOTW webpage to manually update the
DX4Win log AWARDS window. One thing I learned in reading your app notes is
that I don't have to make notations for all my 42,697 QSO's in DX4WIN. If I
understand your example using EA correctly, if my DXCC records show I have
DXCC credit for EA1ABC on 20 mtrs SSB then ALL my EA 20 mtr SSB QSO's will
be flagged as CHECKED. Is that correct?

However, I have 340 countries confirmed. That is a lot of typing and as you
stated prone to mistakes, which I am good at making.

What is the DXCC QSL Download file on the LOTW webpage? Mine has the heading
of:
"ARRL Logbook of the World DXCC QSL Card Report"
"Generated at 2015-07-27 23:28:21Z for K7ACZ" and looks like this:

<ADIFVER:5>3.0.4
<PROGRAMID:17>LoTW qslcards.php
<PROGRAMVERSION:6>v1.3.1

<APP_LoTW_DXCCRecord_Call:5:S>K7ACZ
<APP_LoTW_DXCCRecord_Entity:3:N>291
<APP_LoTW_DXCCRecord_Country:24:S>UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
<APP_LoTW_DXCCRecord_Name:9:S>Alan Zack
<APP_LoTW_DXCCRecord_ARRLId:10:N>xxxxxxxxxx (masked by me)
<APP_LoTW_DXCCRecord_SysId:7:S>0000Q2X
<APP_LoTW_DXCCRecord_LoTWId:5:S>23621
<APP_LoTW_DXCCRecord_Updated:19:S>2015-07-25 09:28:26

<APP_LoTW_NUMREC:4:N>1909
<eoh>

<CALL:6>VE7ZZZ
<QSO_DATE:8>19911026
<APP_LoTW_MODEGROUP:5:S>PHONE
<APP_LoTW_MODE:5:S>PHONE
<BAND:3>10M
<DXCC:1>1
<COUNTRY:6>CANADA
<CREDIT_GRANTED:24>DXCC,DXCC_MODE,DXCC_BAND
<APP_LoTW_CREDIT_GRANTED:40:S>DXCC-M,DXCC-PH,DXCC-10,DXCC-CHAL,DXCC-5B
<eor>

And so on, and so on, and so on..........................for many many more
calls.
This is just for the call K7ACZ. I also have records for the call K6ACZ when
I lived in CA but my DXCC credits are combined since K6ACZ and K7ACZ are
both USA calls.

I might be making too big of a deal of this. I was afraid of trying to send
my QSO info to ClubLog and the QRZ.COM logbook and then discovered I can
just use the same ADIF file I send to LOTW to ClubLog, QRZ.COM logbook and
eQSL. So now every time I send an ADIF file from DX4WIN to LOTW I also send
it to these other entries.

Sorry for all the questions. I am an electronics person (BSEE). I can build
and fix radios, antennas, etc, BUT computers are not my forte.

Take your time (if you have time) to answer. Many questions here. I really
appreciate all your help over the years. Missed you at Visalia.

TIA & 73,
Alan, K7ACZ
