Two people just reported errors when running the DX4WIN Data Updater,
similar to the following:

> Got an error when I tried to run the Updater program. The error stated that
> I had a internet connection problem or firewall issue. I have run the
> Updater program many times before and never had this problem and I know that
> I do have a valid internet connection.

The updater program reports whatever error code it receives while
attempting to download a file from its respective web site. The kind
of error reported in this case *suggests* that it might be a firewall
problem. As this only happened for the first time recently, and
affected two people, I am assuming it is a temporary problem at one of
the remote sites.

One person reported, "Then I started unchecking updates for the MAS1
and MAS2 files
and the problem goes away." Taking a wild guess, I just attempted to
reach the web site:

    http://www.eqsl.cc/

and it doesn't seem to want to connect. So I'm guessing that the eQSL
selection for the Membership List database is the culprit.

There's little I can do about this, except to hope the problem
corrects itself in a day or two. You can always uncheck the eQSL box
in the Membership List selection (look a the Updater web site for help
doing this). Sorry for the inconvenience.
