How can I get rid of the "Events Calendar" window that pops up when I
start DX4win?
Thanks - John, W4AU

Hi Radi -
Randy, K5ZD, put me on to LM, by DL6WAA, when I volunteered to
transcribe paper logs for the WPX. It does a good job of streamlining
this task as much as possible, but it's still a time consuming job doing
it by hand like this...
You can export a file in a number of different
I have concatenated all of my Cabrillo logs from the cwops events in
2015 into one big Cabrillo file. I would like to convert this file to
adif for import into dx4win. The conversion programs that I have or can
find do not support the cwops Cabrillo file format.
I know I can go back to N1MM
What CDROM are folks using for adding external data to QSO's that are
logged? I would like to include county data to some domestic QSO's.

I am using the Hamcall CD with Version 8 (but also had same problem with
earlier versions...)
After pressing the F3 key and bring up information from the CD OK, I'm
still having problems with getting the Update QSO button to actually put

Maybe I've missed it, but is there a procedure in Version 8.01 to move
frequency information for the Notes for this QSO field to the new Freq
field? Or are folks just exporting to an ASCII file, editing, and re-importing?

When a bring up a contact, either old or new, in the QSO window and hit F3
to open the Callsign /Mgr lookup window, DX4WIN goes to my CD callsign
database and put the information in the lookup window fine.
Somehow I expected the Update QSO button in the lookup window to copy the
address, etc.,
.
For example - using your callsign: Pressing Update QSO populates the
state, county, grid, and name fields. If any of those fields are already
populated, they are not overwritten.

George -
I believe the most recent version(s) of DX4WIN have the K3 as a radio
selection. If you have an older version try choosing a Kenwood radio, like
the 850 or 2000.

Pete, N4ZR, graciously sent me a copy of his dx4win.lab file with his
Custom 1 and Custom 2 formats so that I could see how he had set up his
labels to print directly on QSL cards. I copied this file into the Save

Thanks for all the replies. Obviously, I had not progressed along far
enough in the label printing process to realize that Dx4win allows you to
skip over missing labels and thus use a partial sheet of label; neat!

If I were forced to buy a new computer that came with Vista pre-installed,
I would simply reformat the hard disk and install XP. What is wrong with
doing that and getting to run Dx4win and other programs?

I'm trying to setup Buckmaster as the External Data for call sign lookup.
Right now I am just trying to read the data from the CD-ROM. When I hit F3,
the callsign/Mgr lookup window says Buckmaster Error -2. Can someone help
out here, please?
BTW, the callsign lookup was working FB with QRZ.
