I tried to start the DX4WIN Data Updater program this morning but was not
successful. A double-click on the icon yielded nothing nor did trying to start
it from within Windows Explorer work.
I'm running Win 7, Home Premium, SP 1; 64 bit, DX4WIN V8.05.

Is there another copy of the updater already running? If it's running but
not showing up on your desktop it's possible that you just need to open the
window running the updater.
I'd try alt-tab to see if you can open it, followed by a reboot to see if
it works afterwards.
