After reading Ron and Alan's posting this morning regarding the default filters for Orion rigs, I decided to figure out why DX4WIN always selects filter 2 in my Icom 756 Pro II and III when clicking on spots. For those who have posed that same question here on the reflector, here's the answer:
Using Notepad, open "\RADIOS\ICOM 756 Pro.rig" and make the following change under the heading [RC-Set Mode]: DEFAULT - invokes filter 2: CSTR=060002FD For filter 1: CSTR=060001FD For filter 3: CSTR=060003FD -larry K8UT ----- Original Message ----- From: "Alan Sewell" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <dx4win@mailman.qth.net> Sent: Saturday, December 31, 2005 18:56 Subject: Re: [Dx4win] ver 6 and Orion 2 > Ron, > > Open the file orion.rig located in the radios folder of the dx4win folder > with a text editor. > > You may need to edit the MODES section to get it to go to the cw mode you > want. Is there a way to have the program go back through the log and check for contacts that apply to my new preferences or do I need to go through all of them manually? I could not find a way and I am thinking I will have to do it manually. I have version 4.06. Thanks for your help. Tom Budde KC8EGD
