Re: [Dx4win] Worked countries show in yellow (after they have been worked previously)??
Hi Dave, Are these two countries confirmed or just worked? In preferences Packet there is a check mark for alert unconfirmed countries that could cause this if they are not confirmed. 73 Wayne WA1PMA Dave Weiss wrote: Hello: I am using DX4W v.7.03.16 since may of 2007 and have recently seen spots with 9A and ET show in yellow as if they had never been worked. The fact is that in both cases, I have had at least one contact on 20 Meters from each country. I do not know why they are showing yellow. My country file is dated 07-Oct-2008. The 9A that I have worked and confirmed is 9A5MT and the ET(s) I have worked are ET3SID and ET3AA. (Not yet confirmed). The issue has been intermittent. These calls come up as a P1 in yellow when they have previously been worked. Can someone help with this issue please? Am I missing something? [Dx4win] Keyand Location
Hi were would I find my wo2n.key file?. Also in preferences seems like I can't change Long Lat to accurately define my long and Lat? When I hit the cal button in defaults back to original. Thanks 73 de Bernie/WO2N. Re: [Dx4win] Keyand Location
The cal button converts between Lat/Long and Grid Square. So enter one (not both), make sure the other is blank, *then* use the cal button. - Jim On Tue, Dec 2, 2008 at 12:32 PM, wo2n [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Hi were would I find my wo2n.key file?. [Dx4win] DX4WIN.CTY Release #56 - third call
I've updated the release notes again for DX4WIN.CTY Release #56: http://www.country-files.com/dx4win/download/#56 I am trying to make some changes to the database to be more compatible with the contest country (CTY) files. This required changing the default CQ and ITU zones for United States and Asiatic Russia. I updated the prefix mappings so that you should not notice any logbook differences (I've checked against my 80,000+ QSO log going back to 1974). I am still looking at China (BY), Canada (VE) and Australia (VK). I'm also trying to define better start and end dates for callsigns, so that they are retired from the contest country file automatically. This is a work in progress, as you can tell from the release notes. I don't expect that anyone's DX4WIN entities will change if I'm careful and do it correctly. There are ways to tell if I messed up (see the main DX4WIN country file web page). This is a very time-consuming activity, as you may imagine. Please let me know of any other additions or corrections. The release is still scheduled for the weekend of December 6-7.
