[Dx4win] Minor v9 bug report
Hi, Paul et al. I just uploaded an LotW file for the first time since the new version and first of all, thank you for fixing the Russian-oblast-messing-up-zone problem. A minor bug is in the way that Import discrepancies are being reported. In the past, when there was a discrepancy between the QSO data as determined by DX4Win (or operator) and the data being reported by LotW, the Import note in the Notes For This QSO would state the LotW value. This is still the case for everything except for the zone value. For example, before v9, the import note would read something like this for, let's say HA1ABC: Import: {Zone 28} Obviously this would be incorrect due to the erroneous zone selection upload by HA1ABC, which is the case with well over 90% of the LotW discrepancies. In v9, however, this import tag reads: Import {zone 15}, which although correct, doesn't match the LotW reported value. The other discrepancies, i.e. IOTA, State, Grid are reporting the LotW entry. Again, this doesn't impact the integrity of the QSO zone entries, it is simply a misleading visual tag. I hope I am making sense. Thanks again & 73, Zoran WA7AA __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
Re: [Dx4win] Master call data merging. Part II
Hello Vic - I just tried this myself and see what you mean. Try changing the file name to calls.dta. That seemed to work for me. -- 73, Mike Cizek WØVTT -Original Message- From: dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net [mailto:dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net] On Behalf Of Victor Kravchenko Sent: Wednesday, November 08, 2017 13:28 To: dx4win@mailman.qth.net Subject: [Dx4win] Master call data merging. Please refer to Dx4win user manual 3.8 "Master calls" (page 101). I followed a procedure step by step, but cannot locate a newly created file (calls.txt) during step 4. Is it possible that .txt file is not recognised as a valid one? 73! When the pop-up menu prompts you and comes up with the default name "master.dta", overwrite this manually with "calls.txt" making sure you are in the folder where calls.txt is located. After this, the mstrcals.dat will be replaced with the data you created from the calls from your log only, i.e. you will not have the general master call file provided by AD1C anymore. I would back that file up first if I were you. 73, Zoran WA7AA __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
Re: [Dx4win] Master call data merging.
Hello Vic, The file is called mstrcals.dat and should be in the dx4w901\save directory. -- 73, Mike Cizek WØVTT -Original Message- From: dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net [mailto:dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net] On Behalf Of Victor Kravchenko Sent: Wednesday, November 08, 2017 13:28 To: dx4win@mailman.qth.net Subject: [Dx4win] Master call data merging.
