Re: [Dx4win] Log import

2020-02-18 Thread Kostas SV1DPI

Hello Bruce, did you find a solution?

Probably under File>preferences>QSO tab the default value for Band is
60m. This is why dx4win puts QSOs which normally can not recognize on
this band. Why dx4win can not recognize? Probably there is something
wrong in the adif file of log4om. If you can not find the fault, you can
send it to me to try.

I have been trying to get a friend of mine to switch from his logging
program, Log4OM, to Dx4Win. He sent me an ADIF file of his log and I
imported it into Dx4Win to demonstrate to him how powerful Dx4Win was.
Unfortunately when I imported his log into Dx4Win many many of his contacts
showed up as

60M CW for the mode in Dx4Win that were not on 60M in his logging program. I
opened the ADIF file and searched for the call sign of one of the 60M CW
contacts and in the ADIF file it was not 60M. There were a very few 60M
contacts in his log but Dx4Win showed hundreds and hundreds.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Re: [Dx4win] lazy log

Thanks to Paul the loading log problem has fixed. Just renamed the file
config.dat and there it loads fast again.

Thanks to all other who offered help.

Cesar,

Does DX4WIN start reading the file right away or is there a long delay
before it reads the log?

You could move config.dat to a different directory to see if that makes
a difference.

If a port is very slow to open for example.

I forgot to answer your second question:  When you open the log a
second
time is that still slow?
Yes, it is.

[Dx4win] lazy log

2020-02-18 Thread PY2YP
This maybe not a DX4WIN problem, a Windows one instead. When starting
DX4WIN it takes too long to load the log file, around 20 seconds. This
happened from nothing about two or three days ago and on. As far as I
know nothing neither changed the Windows settings nor the DX4WIN.

I've already tried:
1. Export the log file, created a new one and import the log, the result
was the same;

2. Reinstall the DX4WIN, same thing;
3. Kindle up a candle, dance either clockwise and counterclockwise
around the computer, again nothing changed.

Any idea?
