[Dx4win] ST0X
On January 23rd it appeared 100's of US hams worked ST0X around 0230Z on 21025. It also appears that none of these contacts made there on line log, so assume it was a SLIM. Does anyone know for sure? I know the answer , work him again, but man that is the first time I have heard a copiable signal from him here on the far left coast. Rod WC7N
[Dx4win] Future upgrades
Please add the capability to add new DX stations and their managers to databases (QSL mangers) in the next whatever ver of DX4WIN. Thanks. 73-Wayne N2WK

Wayne, that functionality is already there. You can update the info when you log the QSO, or import a text list of calls/managers. UA6JY (?) maintains such a list. 73 - Jim AD1C = Jim Reisert AD1C, 7 Charlemont Court, North Chelmsford, MA 01863 USA +978-251-9933, [EMAIL PROTECTED], http://www.ad1c.com PGP Fingerprint: D8E2 3D78 339F A7F1 8C13 1193 B5D1 4FB6 79D1 70DC
[Dx4win] ST0X
Rod: The ST2X ---not ST0X--signal was huge, and from the direction of JA---90 degrees from short OR long path from here. I worked him barefoot with an R5 vertical in about 30 seconds. I think any reasonable person can figure this one out. I would have been stunned if those QSO's were in the log. :-) Garry, NI6T -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of WC7N Sent: Friday, January 24, 2003 17:47 To: DX4WIN Group Subject: [Dx4win] ST0X On January 23rd it appeared 100's of US hams worked ST0X around 0230Z on 21025. I hope the new version will also spot new or unconfirmed CQ Zones along with new contries and new band or mode. 73, Bill KV3R At 08:46 AM 1/24/2003 -0500, you wrote: Erik, The next version has exactly such an option. Probably my question was badly phrased as the answers were not giving me the final clue. So here I go again with my question re-phrased, hi. I am chasing new countries, not unusual :-), and doing that I am first of all interested in having a country confirmed or not. As the present scheme has it, red signals New band/mode and the country can be confirmed or not confirmed. What I am looking for is a color indicating a country worked or QSL mailed but NOT confirmed irrespective of band or mode. In this case I will try to work that country again. Blue helps but only for the same band. Is there a solution to this? 73 Erik Erik Hyllander, SM0LZT e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] alt.: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Packet: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ Dx4win mailing list Dx4win@mailman.qth.net http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Paul van der Eijk (KK4HD) [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.dx4win.com ___ Dx4win mailing list Dx4win@mailman.qth.net http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win

Where can I get an updated version of the QSL Manager Address Database? 73's Alan, N5PA
[Dx4win] QSL Manager Address Database Source?
Wasn't there a UA6 who used to publish updates? Someone stateside may have linked to them from his DX4WIN web page. ON4AOI may have some on his site. Check the DX4WIN archives from late last year (November/December). There should be plenty of info there on where to find this stuff. 73 - Jim AD1C = Jim Reisert AD1C, 7 Charlemont Court, North Chelmsford, MA 01863 USA +978-251-9933, [EMAIL PROTECTED], http://www.ad1c.com PGP Fingerprint: D8E2 3D78 339F A7F1 8C13 1193 B5D1 4FB6 79D1 70DC
[Dx4win] Additional Search Features
Paul, I was wondering if you got my post on providing additional search feature for DX4WIN? Being able to use the attributes in the country window W,M,C,S,and checked? Perhaps they could be included as options in the reports generator in the Summary Report. The ability to search a predetermined time frame. Example: Search for QSOs on 80 meters mailed but not confirmed from 1/1/00 to 1/1/03. 73...Don
[Dx4win] ON6DP QSL Manager Database
I did a google search and found the ON6DP database: http://www.dd3kf.de/on6dp.htm One web link said this works with DX4WIN. Was updated 23 January 2003. 37K managers or more. The Excel format may be comma-delimited and can be imported into DX4WIN directly. Someone try and report back (make sure to back up your existing DX4WIN.CTY file first). 73 - Jim AD1C = Jim Reisert AD1C, 7 Charlemont Court, North Chelmsford, MA 01863 USA +978-251-9933, [EMAIL PROTECTED], http://www.ad1c.com PGP Fingerprint: D8E2 3D78 339F A7F1 8C13 1193 B5D1 4FB6 79D1 70DC
[Dx4win] Additional Search Features
Don, It is all there in 5.03 already. 1. File preferences | QSO | Searching | QSO Date: select 'Range' 2. In QSO Window: F8 to start a search 3. Select 80M in the band 4. Select N for confirmed 5. Select 01/01/1950 or something for QSL date (indicates card has been sent) 6. Enter 01/01/2000 in the date and press Enter Because of step 1, you get a prompt for the ending date; enter 01/01/2003 If the logbook window is open, you will see a list of all QSOs matching your criteria; PgUp and PgDn in the QSO Window will show you the different QSOs. There is a lot more you can do with searching; read the on-line help and the user's guide about filters, selections. Also check Mailed cutoff and worked cutoff in File | Preferences | Personal. [Dx4win] Another color scheme question
Hello All, I just saw Erik's color scheme question, and it triggered a question I have had. I have Ignore Gray Spots checked in preferences, so that no gray spots show up in my spots window. I have changed the color scheme on nothing special spots to gray, hoping that they would no longer show up in my spot window as well, but they still do. Has anyone else tried this? It seems that the program is looking at something besides color to determine what goes to the spot window. Thanks Don W0DJC
