How old is old? If it has USB ports, there are USB serial adapters
that work well. If it doesn't have any USB ports, you'll have to go
with a PCMCIA
What does ANY of this have to do with DX4WIN??

my desktop went bad I had my desktop working great with my icom 756 proll. now
with my new laptop i cannot get dx4win (ver.701) to change the bands, mode, or
freq. on the rig. I'm using a rigblaster (m8) it worked
