[Dx4win] CLARIFY SOMETHING FOR LOTW

2007-09-27 Thread John Kjos
Hi, I want to make sure of something for LOTW. I am adding contest logs to a
DX4WIN program, and want to make sure that I can do so and then up load to
LOTW each time I do without messing things up. Is it correct that as long as
in, Defaults for new QSO I have the Label set to Upl it should be ok. I
dont want to ad every QSO again. Some of the logs are 10 years old. Thanks-
John

Yes, the program should work as you expect.

Try importing ONE contest log, then exporting to LoTW. See if only that
contest log's contents are exported. You then MUST upload this file to LoTW
because those QSOs will now be marked in DX4WIN with an upload date (they won't
be exported for LoTW again).

Then you can do the rest of your contest logs. You can import them all, then
do the export.

If you are unsure before any step, just save off your log to a unique name, so
you can get back to that point.

If you use the last version 703, then maybe you have a small problem. Every
time you import a log the uploads flags are set to N. So you must set these
flags to Y and after that export to lotw. This maybe is a small problem
because after the first log you must specify a filter to choose the qsos of
the second log only, make the flags, etc. So it is better, i think, to
import all the logs, set the upload flags and after that to make an export
for lotw.
In previous versions the import log had the upload flags set to yes

After yesterday's false alarm, I have seen something strange on my 2 pc's.

In my log, I always show the IOTA window and the County window.

For all normal windows - DXCC, WAS; I am able to limit the bands shown to
those I use through preferences.

The IOTA and County window show all HF bands; and 33!! 33 what I am not
sure !!! It's not even listed in the vhf/uhf bands !

What is this ?

This is a INI preferences merge issue. Paul added an extra band somewhere
along the way, and this results in one of the other bands being enabled in
your preferences, even though the prefs. you imported have it disabled.

Go to your Station preferences, it will be obvious which check box you need to
uncheck.

Subject: [Dx4win] MMTTY...again
Message-ID: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Hello All.
I'm sure this has been covered in the past, but here goes again.
I am trying to get MMTTY to operate correctly with DX4WIN, but have a
problem. MMTTY works fine standalone or with N1MMLogger, but when I try
using it in DX4WIN, it will key the rig, but not produce any diddles. It
produces diddles fine with the other programs. I'm using a simple interface
(two 2n3904's) between my COM2 port for both CW and RTTY and, as I said, it
works great except for the solid carrier from DX4WIN.
I'd appreciate any help.
Thanks and 73,

John W9ILY
