Odd. I wasn't running Defender on my XP machine in the shack, so I installed it. No issues when I start DX4Win. It almost sounds like DX4Win is trying to reinstall the driver every time it starts. I wonder if there isn't a registry entry that tells DX4Win that it is already installed. When you
