Hi everyone,
I went to open my log v8.02 this morning to find that I had lost three days of
QSO's even though I have used and backed up the log daily. Not only that, the
first 4000+ entires in my log had no information other than X's in all logbook
fields! The demo log included with v8.02 had

I accidentally cleared my LOTW membership list. It had 30,124 entries,
matching the list on HB9 site. I thought no big deal. I just downloaded it
again, and now it says 6052 entries. What did I do wrong? John

Since I purchased the new Icom IC-7600 that has a computer USB interface I
can't figure out how to interface my SteppIR control box with it's RS232
interface.
The Com port assigned to the 7600 is a virtual com port interface for the
7600 using the USB interface. I'm using DWAIN for my logging
Hi Mel,
I run XP Pro. When I leave the programme it says I have updated the logbook
and do I want to save it. I always say 'yes' and up to now have not had a
problem. I also back up the log to a memory stick, usually once a week.
Over the past three days I have opened the programme several
Hi George,

What was it, John, so none of us repeats your heart-stopper.

Do you have your log file on a network drive and do you ever access

Or did you open the log on your USB drive by mistake and log QSOs
there? This would be bad if you then backed up the log from the hard
drive (that never had the QSOs) onto the USB device (that did).

Here's a sample spot from the packet window:

You can modify the DX spotting patterns to ignore the superfluous data

Hi Mel,
I am positive that the correct log was saved and have no explanation for the
missing entries or the X's that replaced earlier logged QSO's. I have opened
and saved the log several times today and made a few backups as well. All these
files are good and work correctly.

I just brought up another computer running dx4win 7.07 and it's working ok.
Looks like
it has the same spotting patterns, so it is a 7.02 issue. (and therefore
for me, not an issue)
thanks, 73
