[Dx4win] Updated DX4WIN.MAS1 master callsigns - 9 February 2012
I updated the master callsign database for DX4WIN. You can download it from here: http://dx4win.ad1c.us/data/calldata.html#Master Better yet, use the DX4WIN Data Updater: http://dx4win.ad1c.us/update This database is based on the Super Check Partial database released 5 February 2012. 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C, jjreis...@alum.mit.edu, http://www.ad1c.us __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
[Dx4win] Messed up country window
Today I had a power outage, and when I restarted DX4WIN my log was OK, but when I try to open the Country window I get an error message, An exception occurred. Fixed column count must be less than column count. Anyone run into this before? How to fix? Same seems to happen with IOTA window, state window, etc., and when I open the Logbook window it displays a custom report for 10-10. Looks to me like I have some scrambled indices. How can I repair this? -- 73, Pete N4ZR The World Contest Station Database, updated daily at www.conteststations.com The Reverse Beacon Network at http://reversebeacon.net, blog at reversebeacon.blogspot.com, spots at telnet.reversebeacon.net, port 7000 and arcluster.reversebeacon.net, port 7000 __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
[Dx4win] Reports/Award questions
1. I recently made my first submission--all QSL cards--to IOTA, and the IOTA report has been most helpful. However, there is a second way to obtain IOTA credits from RSGB--if the QSO was made during the annual IOTA contest in July, and the island station submitted a log to RSGB, credit for the island group can be obtained without a QSL card. The IOTA website handles this, but DX4WIN does not seem to. Is there a way to track and count such credits locally on DX4WIN? Entering such QSO's as CFD suggests a card was received. 2. I made a year-end mixed submission for DXCC--both LOTW and QSL'ed QSO's. After ARRL returned the results--in under 4 weeks!--I attempted, in Reports/DXCC to change the Submitteds to Checked. I chose Reports/Award Generator/Change Award Flags/Submitted =Checked, but nothing changed. What is wrong here? How to fix? [Dx4win] ADIF to DX4WIN log conversion version 5.20 released
I have released version 5.20 of ADIF to DX4WIN, you can get it here: http://dx4win.ad1c.us/adif2dxq/ Here are the release notes: Ver 5.20 - 10 February 2012 Added Delaware QSO Party Added None contest type Here is the description of the None contest type, from the web page: This is a special case of the program that does not populate the Recvd field in the logbook. It can be used to add an optional QSO Note and/or Group Number to each QSO in the ADIF file before importing it into DX4WIN. It recognizes these ADIF fields: GRIDSQUARE, NAME, NOTES and QTH. Others can be added upon request. Dan KI6X asked for this. Others might find it useful; there is no way to set the Notes for this QSO field before importing an ADIF file, like you can with the Group (number) field. 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C, jjreis...@alum.mit.edu, http://www.ad1c.us __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

If you're using the DX4WIN Data Updater, you'll have to delete the desired files from the UPDATE directory first. -- Jim Reisert AD1C, jjreis...@alum.mit.edu, http://www.ad1c.us __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

No, but this problem is similar to applying LoTW credits towards your DXCC award. The only way to do it is manually. You should be able to set the IOTA award flag to Checked for those QSOs. I believe Paul changed DX4WIN so that Checked status doesn't require any of the Confirmed flags to be set. 2. I made a year-end mixed submission for DXCC--both LOTW and QSL'ed QSO's. You do this via Reports, then click on the Award Flags button at the bottom, and a new window will appear. There are three DXCC award types you must update: DXCC Mixed, DXCC Band and DXCC Mode. They're all in the Award drop-down box at the top. Do each one, one at a time. -- Jim Reisert AD1C, jjreis...@alum.mit.edu, http://www.ad1c.us __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
