[Dx4win] QSO Window Data
I am beginning to use the DX4WIN QSO window for more than just entering QSO info as I have done for many years. Am trying to make better use of the info available in the bottom row of QSO window. Specifically, the fields indicating awards (DXCC, WAZ, etc). Mine are all blank. How do those get populated, and caused to appear with info in the QSO window? I presume info that is compiled in the DX4WIN data base should automatically appear (such as identifying that a particular entity has been worked, and has been recorded as worked on LOTW). Also, what is the meaning of the fields worked cutoff and mailed cutoff in the preferences window? I am using Version 8.05 I am sure these questions have been asked before, but I can not find any tutorial info anywhere. My apology to those who find this a dumb question. 73 de NN3V Charlie Don't Always Believe What You Think __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
Re: [Dx4win] QSO Window Data
Remember, it's a QSO Window so all the information in that window pertains to THAT QSO. If you're looking for your totals there, it's the wrong place. Do you use the Country window? Maybe that information is what you're looking for. For myself, I always keep the QSO window open along with the Country and Same Call windows Hope this helps. 73, Duane Duane Calvin, AC5AA Austin, Texas www.ac5aa.com -Original Message- From: dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net [mailto:dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net] On Behalf Of NN3V_6 Sent: Thursday, August 02, 2012 9:13 AM To: dx4win@mailman.qth.net Subject: [Dx4win] QSO Window Data I am beginning to use the DX4WIN QSO window for more than just entering QSO info as I have done for many years. Re: [Dx4win] QSO Window Data
Am not at home at teh mment (on in front of DX4WIN); but a few points come to mind: Are the awards set up? You need to go into the reports menu to do this; but you might also have to go into preferences too, to enable bands/modes. In reports, you would need to set up tabs for all awards you are interested in. In teh regular QSO window, do you show QSL data (Y for confimed QSO's); and if you wanted LOTW info, you need to import confirmations from LOTW too. This is detailed in teh help menu; there may be more on Jims web site (AD1C.COM) 73 Dave G3NKC From: NN3V_6 nn3...@san.rr.com To: dx4win@mailman.qth.net Sent: Thursday, 2 August 2012, 15:13 Subject: [Dx4win] QSO Window Data I am beginning to use the DX4WIN QSO window for more than just entering QSO info as I have done for many years. Use the description of DXCC tracking as a template for your understanding: http://dx4win.ad1c.us/appnotes/dxcc.html -- Jim Reisert AD1C, jjreis...@alum.mit.edu, http://www.ad1c.us __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
