I am happy to get most of my confirmations through LoTW. However, I have been chasing a few confirmations with direct QSLs, most of which have been OK. However, I have had a couple of Not in Log returns. Do people just delete the QSO, or is there some recommended way to flag the QSO so

Hi dave What I do is I just mark the QSO as invalid for awards, which is an option in the sub-menus of QSO. On the other hand, if you are not in log then the QSO did not take place, so you may want to delete it. Really it is your choice... Make sure you do not delete it before you check with
