Many thanks to all who answered, both to me and to the reflector. Fortunately, none of you had the correct answer - by which I mean to say that this was NOT a case of me screwing up the dx4win to LoTW process.
It seems that the Award Credit Matrix on LoTW is NOT updated instantly when your DXCC application is "completed". The updated totals will show in your Account Status report instantly, but the Matrix is only updated after the DXCC processes your application. SO I just have to wait.
