I have DX4win set up so when I have a callsign in the F3 CALLSIGN/MGR LOOKUP
window I can hit ENTER and a QRZ.COM page opens for that callsign. This has
worked FB for me for about 10 years. Lately I have been having problems (not
a DX4WIN problem) with the way this is now working, or not working.
I am a paid subscriber to QRZ.COM and need to sign in to use it. But when I
open QRZ.COM I cannot stay logged in for more than a few minutes. I entered
the ARRL DX SSB and was going thru my QSO's to find addresses to send my
QSL's. I would sign into qrz.com, look up 2 or 3 calls then the next look up
I had to sign back in. Sometimes I can do a max of 5 lookups, sometimes only
one, then get kicked off. I have never had this problem before. Once I
signed in I stayed signed in until I shut the PC down. I tried the QRZ.COM
trouble desk and they tell me it is an IE problem and to try a different
browser. I do have CHROME installed and can manually open QRZ.COM using
CHROME OK. In DX4WIN Preferences/Setup/Ext Data in the Callsign Lookup
selection I have www.qrz.com/db/ which takes me to the qrz.com website using
IE. How do I redirect it to www.qrz.com/db/ on CHROME?
Again, this is not a DX4WIN problem but just a matter of how to tell DX4WIN
where to look for a database.
Has anyone else been experiencing this problem?
