Joe,
Also, you can select how much information you want to see in the logging
window by hitting F5 - if you do not need to see all that info all the time,
you can make the window shorter (width unchanged).

I cannot help you on the first question, but on the second one, the answer
is that you must play with the scale factor in File/Preferences/Screen.
But changing this to make it bigger will increase all your windows sizes.

Need some help. While trying to print qsl labels I  have lost ALL my 
markings for confirmed QSO's. I have the log but just lost the  confirmed check 
mark.  How do I  restore the check marks?
 
Another unrelated problem: how do I increase or  reduce my logging window 
size? I can't grab the sides of the box to change  it.
