Jim,

Your observation is correct.

You may recall that in version 8.05 just hovering the mouse cursor over a
menu could trigger a mouse click on that menu.
I saw this happening in the QSO window for the Report menu.

Worked around this by disabling skinning for the menus.

QSO > Multiple QSO Operations > Check Custom Awards

Make a back up copy of your log first, just in case.

[Dx4win] Map color

I'm really happy. I've played with the version 9 for a few days,
so far no problem of any kind. Well, almost, trying to change the map
colors, the water color changes nicely but the land colors option
doesn't change anything, this is an ancient and recalcitrant bug that 
started several versions ago. The default land color is good enough but 
this bug should be smashed out.

This looks normal to me since polling the radio(s) >>--- FOR ALL BRANDS ---
only starts when you push F9 and not before.

When you start using for example WSJT(-x) and your radio is "NOT ON" but 
configured in the setup the program crashes all the time until your radio is
ON.  

So the reason is very simple if your Radio was "NOT ON" in dx4win you will
get time out etc
Not a crash but before F9 you have the option to start with or without
Radio.
