Re: [Dx4win] Question on the ver 9

2018-04-09 Thread Tim moore
Another thing in Preferences >Screen is to set the Scale Factor to 150
(default is 100). This will make that window bigger. Also, you can
experiment with the fonts and font sizes for the 3 different listings
Heading, Input and Listbox. I've found that also changes window sizes.
Even setting Bold on for one or two of those windows, changes the
size/appearance of not JUST the text, but also...in some casesthe
window itself. I wanted to move the Packet Window and DX Spots window to my
second monitor screenand put them above my HDSDR software radio
application. My second Monitor screen is larger and easier for me to read.
I wanted those two windows to be larger and easier to read at a glance. I
kept playing with fonts and font sizes until i got EVERYTHING to look
better. I also wanted the main window (the window you were talking about
changing) to be larger and easier to read at a glance. I'm running Scale
Factor at 150, Font sizes for the three items at 10 or 11and no longer
running Fixedsys for a font (instead running fonts like Arial) I'm running
2 of the 3 items as Bold, which also makes a difference. I'm at work, so I
can't tell you EXACTLY the combinationsbut try playing with these
settings, it makes a pretty big difference on window sizes.

Re: [Dx4win] Question on the ver 9

2018-04-09 Thread Mike Cizek W0VTT
Hello Mike,

I don’t think it is possible to resize that window by dragging the sides
around. You do that with the some of the others to display more or less
information, but in the QSO window you do it with the F5 key to display more
or fewer fields. Changing the Scale Factor and font sizes will help, but
this changes all of the windows together.

Hello Mike,

The F5 key cycles through the different window sizes for the QSO window.
Just like in version 8. If you want to change the size of ALL the windows,
use File > Preferences > Screen > Scale factor.

I just updated to ver 9. Installation went well. One question I have is
about sizing the windows. I want to increase the size of the
(qso/Sort/filter/qsl/LOtw/.etc)window. However, I don't seem to be able. I
can resize most of the other windows
