I am trying to get DX4WIN to talk to my TS950SDX using the RigExpert
TI-8/TS002 interface. The radio data interface ( Band info , mode etc)
times out . Not sure if the problem is with the TI-8 or DX4WIN ( or the
TS950?) . The station has been in moth balls for 5 years during a move.
Used to
I am trying to run wjst-x on my Kenwood TS990S and of course log my
contacts in DX4WIN
The 990 uses a USB connection which is seen as a virtual comport (COM3).
I run into conflicts when I try to run DX4WIN and WJST-X because I think
they are sharing or not sharing as the case may be the same
I have a different version of the problem
The short version is that when sending CW from DX4win using WINKEY (
ALT-K) the DOT and DASH are reversed?
I was using DX4WIN 9.03 and Winkey Firmware 30.1 ( Firmware 31.2 would
not work with DX4WIN 9.03...known bug)
Today I upgraded DX4WIN to
Friend of mine is pushing me to install JT Alert for a number ( of
possibly good reasons) . Before I jump into the learning curve pool with
yet another program. Any one here using JT Alert with DX4WIN? I
purportedly automatically interfaces with WJST-X and some ( all?)
logging programs and
Originally the latest version of WINKEY (firmware 31.02) would not work
with DX4WIN 9.03. The near term solution was to down-rev the firmware in
WINKEY to 30.10 which at least worked with 9.0.3
When Paul released his latest set of changes fo DX4WIN (9.0.5) this was
on the laundry list of
new firmware.

the keyboard window, try using Alt-F9 or F-10 to set
the keyer speed. This may wake up the Winkey connection. That is the way
mine works.

Once everything is running you can either use the knob on the WinKey
itself to change the speed or Alt-F9 and Alt-F10 on the keyboard.
Mine works fine here.

Maybe I am just dense but I cant seem to successfully configure DX4WIN
to use WINKEY-USB keyer.
Running a TS990 on the serial port (not USB port) on COM 1, which talks
to DX4WIN just fine, I have the WINKEY USB on COM2. Winkey works just
fine in stand alone with the demo program and also
OK here is the (hopefully) temporary workaround for those of you who
have the latest Winkey USB 3.1 which DOES NOT (yet?) work with DX4WIN
The cliff notes version is "down-rev" the WINKEY USB firmware from
31.02 to 30.10 the downside of this is largely the loss of the RTTY
features in 31.
