Re: [Dx4win] Developments
Hi Paul, After reading all the latest comments about DX4WIN I had to check my log to see how long I have been using DX4WIN here. I see that my first log entry was on April 21 1989. I still use DX4WIN (Latest Version) almost every day, and it does everything that I require. Have a great day. But DX4WIN I am thinking is not how he feeds his family and pay his bills. The program does all I need it to do. I can do all you are asking with a few extra key clicks with my mouse! You may think it is trivial to add instant uploads to all the different services like eQSL and LoTW etc to be added to DX4WIN but I am sure it is not. In any case I think you should back off and and quit whining. There free programs that do what you want I believe. Unfortunately, that's the only way to do it today. Perhaps in the future, Paul could find a way to automate this for custom awards whose custom value "code" exactly matches a DXCC prefix in the country file. You would probably still need to populate JW/Bear Island, IT9/Sicily, etc. by yourself, but a much smaller job. The Fred Fish Memorial Award could also benefit, by identifying matching 6 meter QSOs by VUCC grid square. There could be other such custom awards. This is all theoretical, of course. -- Jim Reisert AD1C, , http://www.ad1c.us/ __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
[Dx4win] Latest WAE Custom Award
I have installed the latest updates via "The Updater" and then started to pick WAE credits from my log.I selected the country Guernsey (GU) and found a QSO from that country. For that QSO I changed theCustom Award Field to " Worked All Europe" and the Custom Award Value Field to "Guernsey (GU)". Then I asked for "Report", "Custom", " Worked All Europe" and then "Listing".The "Worked All Europe" listing appeared and the GU credits were correct. So...it works. My question: Is there an "easy" way to do the same as above for all the EU QSO's in my log? Changing each EU QSO Custom Award Field to " Worked All Europe" and the Custom Award Value Field to the prefix corresponding to the country for the QSO for me would not be "easy". [Dx4win] AD1C Updater Program
I just ran the program and all is OK. I notice that one of the things updated was the 425 DX info. How do I access that info while running DX4Win?Thanks and 73 de Joe. __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
[Dx4win] QSO Window Maximum Size DX4Win latest edition.
When I use the F5 key to open up the largest possible size for the QSO window I see a matrix: DXCC WAZ WAS ETC Mixed Band Mode I have forgotten what the matrix fields signify. All my fields are filled with "--". I have checked "Help" but have found nothing. Whatever this feature is, I have never used it and maybe I would like to do so. [Dx4win] Real Time QSO Add: Frequency Value Truncated
When I click on a packet spot the Log Input Window is filled with the correct frequency ( e.g. 14,027.8)When I save the QSO (enter) the frequency data is written to the logbook page window truncated. In this case( 14.03 ). All other data is properly transferred to the logbook page window . I must have changed a setting somewhere(?)I can manually correct the truncated frequency value and it is accepted.
