[Dx4win] Splitting One Log into Two Logs

2004-02-19 Thread Fred W Hoffert
My thanks to all who answered my call for help. Terry held the key by
mentioning that I needed to set the QSO date to Range. I have never
changed the QSO date preference and didn't know that option existed.
Without it I didn't know how to set the end date for the filter.

Again, 73, and thanks,

Fred/NA2U

Hi Fred,

Go into Preferences / QSO and make sure you have QSO Date set to
Range.

Thanks, Terry. I don't know how to separate out the old WA0QOA Qs.
4,000+. Somehow I think a filter will do it but I can only select the
beginning date and not the end, or so it seems. I combined them years
ago thinking I'd only need the total totals. Never considered LOTW
then!

Hi Fred,

It depends on how you have the two calls delineated in the log. Either a
selection or group could be used
and you can filter the log on either of those before exporting to a ADIF
file for LoTW. If WA0QOA was your
old call you could also just filter by date to get all the Qs for either
call. If you would like more help
with the filter process let me know.

I did not find this in the archives. For LOtW I need to split my log
into two logs, one for WA0QOA and one for NA2U . What is the safest,
cleanest way to accomplish this? I have already saved a copy of the
complete log for safe keeping.

73 and thanks,

[Dx4win] Importing ADIF from into DX4WIN

2002-03-05 Thread Fred W Hoffert
When I first set up DX4WIN I imported my log from DXLOG. All was OK
(mostly). But, when I was using DXLOG I would only import contest Qs
that were needed for new ones or new band countries. Now I would like to
import the full contest logs.

Question: Will importing the entire log now overwrite the Qs already in
DX4WIN or will the new import create duplicate contacts? I don't want to
lose the status of those Qs already in DX4WIN, some of which are already
confirmed.

73 and thanks,

Fred/NA2U

[Dx4win] Packet Window Weirdness

2002-02-26 Thread Fred W Hoffert
For some reason my packet window started acting up earlier this evening.
For as long as I can remember I could enter a packet line, like a talk
line, hit enter, and the line I just typed would disappear (move up) and
the entry line would be blank, ready for the next line. Now, I type a
line, hit enter and the cursor moves to the next line and eventually out
of sight. Any suggestions on how I get the correct functioning back.

73 and thanks,

Fred/NA2U
