Subject: [Dx4win] Defaults for new QSO?

 Hello!
I am using V6.03 and I did find the Defaults for new QSO when Radio is
OFF
is not working as before, just ignoring Mode/Band (as Setup on Defaults
for
new QSO) when I press F9.
Now Mode and Band is changing as the spot in the DX spots windows.
Did I miss something or is a bug in this new version?

[Dx4win] Bad QRG flip flopping Band window with IC-756 Pro II

2003-09-04 Thread Jaime P.Ullvarri
Hello!
I am using a 756P2 and no problems with DX4win, only when announcing a DX
spot it does not show at the window the QSX frequency.
My settings at DX4win are normal : address 00 and 19200.
At the transceiver:
CI-V Transceive= ON (If I set this OFF it does not work at all with DX4win)
CI-V Address=64h
CI-V Baud Rate=Auto
If any help.

Go into your transceiver settings and set CT-17 TRANSCEIVE to OFF.

When using a 756 Pro II the information in the Band window jumps between
SAT and the Band the radio is on. Also the frequency read when I key
control R sometimes is correct and sometimes it is in error.
Occurs on all
bands. For example it read 2,129,440 KHz when the true frequency was
21,294.40 KHz. I have the 756 Pro selected as the radio. Does this
require a Pro II radio file? Or am I missing something? It worked great
with my IC-761 and IC-910H. I am using version 5.03 but the same
occurs in
version 6. Help

[Dx4win] DX4win and Network

2003-09-04 Thread Jaime P.Ullvarri
Hi Rune,
Yes presently I load DX4win in my main computer in the shack but now in the
summer I operate out at the garden, with a laptop and wireless network, my
Logfile is at the main computer, no problems at all. Many DX4win users load
DX4win in two or several computers. Maybe you want a DX Alert. but I don't
think wife's likes this at night! good for 6M opening.
I use TRX Manager to control the remote rig and rotors and wireless
headphones for audio. with the climate we have in the island I operate now 6
months at year this way, quite pleasant.

[Dx4win] Packet Window

2003-02-09 Thread Jaime P.Ullvarri
Hi Ted,
Just mark : PREFERENCES=PACKET1=BACKUP DX SPOTS.
And the spots will remain.

Something else that I noted, is that now if you exit the program and
restart, the DX spots window is cleared. 5.x didn't do this. I would
prefer to see the spots remain in that window unless cleared. There
are times when you close and restart the programs, i.e. a hard
computer lock, oops I clicked on the [x], etc., and want to see the
spots that were there remain when I restart.

Yes, that is the way it used to work. In fact, the size of the send

liked it the old way, and wonder if there is some new functionality that
is tied to this behavior. If not, perhaps it can be either
restored to the
previous behavior, which I prefer over the current way.

every time. Anyone else seeing this?

Jaime,

That is not related.
I wonder if the dx4win.put in the save sub-directory is read-only.
