Re: [Dx4win] Converting files from .DXL to .ADI

2024-04-15 Thread Mike Cizek WØVTT
Hello Jean Paul,

The easiest way is to simply export an ADIF from dx4win. Put your saved
DXL files back into dx4win, then:

Files > Import/Export > ADIF (first choice on the list) > Export
and save the files in .ADI format.

Re: [Dx4win] DX4Win Conflict with WSJT

2024-02-21 Thread Mike Cizek WØVTT
Hello Alan,

DX4WIN works well with LP Bridge from TelePost. It’s made specifically for
the Elecraft K3, but they have another port sharing program, LP Bridge2,
that is supposed to work with other radios. GL.

Hello Jean Paul,

Probably the easiest way is to filter (F8) for that station, look at the
Same Call window, and print that. Use and paste that
into an email or MS Word document.

Re: [Dx4win] Generating a report which selects only QRP QSOs

2023-08-16 Thread Mike Cizek WØVTT
Hello Jim,

DX4WIN has a check box for QRP in the QSO entry window. If you always
check this box when making a QRP QSO, you can filter your log for QRP QSOs
and do your report using that filter.

No, dx4win and wsjt-x do not integrate. You can import your wsjt-x log

Select "Imported QSOs are ignored" for options for duplicate QSOs.
Import the file wsjtx_log.adi

Re: [Dx4win] Importing .adi files and converting them to DXL file format

2022-11-05 Thread Mike Cizek WØVTT
Hello Jim,

For LoTW QSOs, log in to your LoTW account; Your QSOs tab; Download Report
(at the far right). Select a date that you think is earlier than your
first QSO, to make sure you get them all. I would also select "Include QSL
Details" and "Include QSO Station Details". Download Report.
In dx4win, in the QSO window: LoTW, Confirm LoTW using ADIF file, and
import the file you just downloaded.

For WSJT, use File , Import/Export , ADIF , Import , and navigate to and
select the wsjtx_log-adi file.

Save everything. Make a backup copy of your AA8OY.DXL file and save it
somewhere other than the internal HDD on your computer. (USB drive, cloud,
etc)

To upload to LoTW, you must do that through TQSL. Download and install
TQSL from the LoTW web site (if you haven't already done so). Make sure
your callsign certificate is current and you have a station location set
up. Back in dx4win, in the QSO window: LoTW , Export to LoTW. Save the
adi file. Open TQSL, import and upload the file you just created in
dx4win. That's it.

It may seem like a lot of steps, but once you get the hang of it, the
entire process takes less than a minute. LoTW, TQSL, and dx4win all
remember when you last uploaded and downloaded, for for future operations,
will only upload and down load new QSOs.

Re: [Dx4win] LOTW

2022-07-07 Thread Mike Cizek WØVTT
Hello Scott,

On your LoTW page, Your QSOs > Download Report (on the far left). This
generates a file called lotwreport.adi (I always append the date to this file,
cuz I’m that kind of geek.). Import this file into DX4WIN by using LoTW >
Confirm LoTW using ADIF file in the QSO window. This tells dx4win which QSOs
are credited on LoTW.

Re: [Dx4win] Dx4win - Club Log - QRZ Logbook

2022-07-07 Thread Mike Cizek WØVTT
Hello Berkin,

The easiest way to do this is to always use LoTW >Export to LoTW in the QSO
window. This generates a standard ADIF file that you may upload to LoTW,
Clublog, QRZ, or anywhere that accepts ADIF files. Do this even if you are not
using LoTW. With this method, dx4win keeps track of what QSOs have been
uploaded and will only upload new QSOs each time.

The process is not automatic, but with a little practice, it goes very quickly.
It takes about a minute to export, upload to LoTW through TQSL, and upload to
the Clublog web page.

Re: [Dx4win] Clearing all Label & LoTW entries

2021-10-02 Thread Mike Cizek WØVTT
Hello Brad,

You can do this at the top of the QSO window, under the QSLs and LoTW tabs:

QSLs > Clear QSL label flag
LoTW > Clear LoTW upload flag

Note that you can choose whether or not these flags are set for new QSOs. From
the menu bar at the top:
File > Preferences > QSO Look in the box Label/Upl flag.
Save Changes and exit.

Re: [Dx4win] Filter WPX Report

2021-03-20 Thread Mike Cizek WØVTT
Didn’t there used to be a cut off date for QSLs? I seem to remember seeing
that, once upon a time. If you had sent a card and it wasn’t answered for
(user selectable time), that QSO would revert from “Mailed” to either “Worked”
or just to needed. Did dx4win previously have such a feature, or am I
confusing it with something else?

Re: [Dx4win] DX4WIN Digest, Vol 193, Issue 1

2020-05-07 Thread Mike Cizek WØVTT
Look VERY closelyten digit grid square, operator’s mother’s maiden name...

If any part of the data doesn’t match exactly, the QSO will get flagged and put
in the .notfound file. I get a few flagged almost every time. Every once in a
while, something important like a CQ zone doesn’t match.

Re: [Dx4win] Portable grids?

2020-01-17 Thread Mike Cizek WØVTT
Hello Jim,

I do a lot of mobile ops. I upload them to LoTW separately with a station
location that does not have state, county or grid info. When I did a
portable op from ND last summer, I made another station location for DN98
in ND and uploaded them with that.
