Thanks for the advice, I actually did a fresh install of DX4win but copied
over the .ini file and the SAVE directory then the licence key. Everything
works, I think, although I have not yet connected it up to a rig, except the
DX4Win internet connection. I have a good internet connection from the new
laptop as the email client is working and CCUser is downloading spots OK. If
I can't get is to work I will transfer the complete DX4Win directory over as
you suggest. I did not want to try that initially as the old laptop is a
WinXP machine and the new one is Win7 and the files now have to go in the
root directory a and not into PROGRAM FILES, that concerned me.

One thing to keep in mind about DX4WIN is that you can simply move the
entire DX4WIN directory (folder) to just about any location you want to
(including moving to another computer) and the program will run as before.
You just have to be sure you have the same COM port numbers available on the
new computer and that you have the external cables plugged in correctly.
You should not have to transfer any settings.

Hi a bit of advice please.
I am in the process of retiring an old PC used when travelling and operating
from XE.
I have DX4win uploaded and running as well as CCUser cluster software
connected to VE7CC-1. I have transferred all (I think) of the setting from
one laptop to the other but when DX4Win will not see the data from CCUser.
From the drop down menu in the Packet window I select LOCALCC
User,localhost:7300 but nothing happens.I have also tried connecting
directly to a local node with the same result.
The new laptop is 64 bit.
