Do to logging on more than one PC, I found myself with multiple copies of my log. Some logs had changes in older QSOs while other logs had changes in more recent QSOs. I am working (have it working, mostly) on a program that reads .DXQ files for two logs and presents field values, side-by-side, from matching QSOs (date, time, call, band and mode are the same). There is also a column with "<>" in it indicating that the values for that field differ. The program only displays QSOs with at least one field that differs. You can also control which fields are displayed when a QSO with differences is found. You can also select which fields to check for differences. Other options, for now, allow you to ignore case, ignore leading and trailing spaces and/or don't consider a field "different" if the "older log" entry has spaces where the newer log has a value. Eventually, I plan to add an "output" option where it will write a .DXQ record from the "older", "newer" or "both" logs to a file that you can then edit and/or import to a log file. If you are interested in trying the program, let me know and I'll get in touch with you soon. 73, Lee N7NU P.S. I can send screen prints if you want to "see" what I [tried to] describe above! ______________________________________________________________ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net
