Thanks to the 7 (and counting) people who were so kind to reply. After
reading all the messages I have gotten it seems to come down to two ways
to do it. I chose to purchase a copy of QuikSync 3 and am now up and running.

Thanks to all you guys for your help!!

Hi Jon,

I am not sure how QuikSync works but if it merely makes an archive copy of
your files on the same drive, you are flirting with disaster. Make a ZIP
file of the ***.DXL file and save it OFF SITE. Your office, your car, or
best, FTP it to your ISP as already suggested.. If you are not sure how to
do that, contact your ISP and they should be able to help you.

[Dx4win] Backup to CD-ROM

2002-04-13 Thread Jon Nordstrom
First of all I want to thank all of the people who answered my call for
help in getting the PSK function working.

Now my question. I would like to be able to back up my log files to a
CD-ROM using a CD-RW disk in my M drive which is a CD burner.

Found a small section in the on line help files about a batch file to zip
the files to the A drive but don't even have a clue as to where to place
the batch file or how to modify it to my use.

Would someone please help me on this one?

Thanks in advance
