Assuming you mean DXCC when you say LoTW, please read this

Re: [Dx4win] DX4WIN/LOTW LOGS

2010-03-29 Thread Steve Thompson
AD1C's DXCC page has a lot of good info - it's what I used to get my DX4WIN
database in sync with what ARRL has for my record.

On that web page (http://dx4win.ad1c.us/appnotes/dxcc.htm), there is an
image of the QSO window. At the bottom of the QSO window, it shows that the
DXCC entity has been checked. It says Chkd. I have version 8.03 and for
my QSOs that have been checked, it just says C (not Chkd). I thought
maybe it was because my font was too large, so I reduced the size
significantly, and also turned off bold, and it still says C.

Am I missing something, or does version 8.03 only show C for entites that
have been checked? It would be nice if it said Chkd, because C is
easily confused with Confirmed.

8.03 uses single-letter abbreviations. The image is from 7.0x. C is
still Checked, S is Submitted.

I AM TRYING TO FIGURE OUT THE BEST AND EASIEST WAY TO UPDATE THE AWARD
CREDITS IN DX4WIN TO COME CLOSE TO LOTW. They are currently way out of

Or is this a painfully manual process?

You didn't explain why they don't agree; but there is a simple way to
reconcile them - check www.ad1c.com; he has a small utility to compare //
correct the errors.

One point - are you importing LOTW flags from err. LOTW ? This is
essential.
