Re: [Dx4win] Help With Importing WSJT .adi

2018-11-08 Thread n4qs
I run WSJT-X on two different computers within my station. Both PCs are
networked. To make it easy to find the log files, I have mapped network
drives to each wsjt-x folder on the separate computers. When I go to import
either one of the files from within DX4WIN, I go to File, Import, ADIF, and
then select This PC. Under Network locations, both WSJT-X folders (on two
different PCs) are displayed. Clicking on one or the other displays the
wsjt-x_log.adi file that I need for importing into DX4WIN. This approach
makes it very easy to find the right file on either computer. It would also
work with only one computer. Just map a drive to the file location that Jim
described below. Importing from WSJT-X becomes a snap!

Dave, N4QS

It sounds like you are importing the wrong file. The ADIF log file that
WSJT-X creates can be found here:

%localappdata%\WSJT-X\wsjtx_log.adi

This is the file you need to import into DX4WIN.

Jerry,

This is what I do. (I have version 9.0.4.1176)

-->  File
--> Import/Export
--> ADIF
--> File
-->  Import
--> (Select your WSJT File, i.e. wsjtx_log)
-->  Open
--> (Option for duplicate QSOs) Imported QSO is ignored
-->  OK
-->  (Import Results) OK

 New QSOs will be seen in Log

(7800 FT8 Q's so far in 2018!!)

Hi All:

For some reason I am unable to see changes made to the DXWIN log after I

import the WSJT .adi file into the logger. I just made a WSJT qso,

logged it into the WSJT log, and it shows up in the log.adi file. I

then imported it into the logger, but the QSO doesn't show up in the

log. In fact after doing the "Import" it appears like nothing new was

added when I looked at the pop up screen showing the results of the import.

I did import this .adi file a week or so and FT8 Q's showed up in the

DX4WIN log windowhowever not all of themcouldn't find any VP/D

Q's for FT8 (the other modes work there though).

What am I doing wrong? Using version 9.

Tnx for any assistance you can provide. I really don't want to enter

all those FT8 Q's manually!
