[Dx4win] How do you un-associate a file

2008-06-23 Thread Brian Spindor
Okay, now I've gone and done it. I was trying to help a friend with
DX4WIN and I opened my dx4win.tcp file by right clicking on the file and
clicking on Open with Now I've got the file associated with
notepad. Can someone please tell me how to un-associate note pad to
this file. I've tried right clicking and going into properties and then
changing the association but there is nothing that will let me choose
associate with nothingit's another program or not at all.

I'm using XP SP2 and DX4WIN Ver 6.04

Thanks in advance for the help

Why? DX4WIN doesn't care if it's associated with Notepad. Just makes
it that much easier if you decide to edit the dx4win.tcp file since you
use a text editor to do that.

Re: [Dx4win] How do you un-associate a file

2008-06-23 Thread Kurt Zimmerman
So if you really want to un-associate the .tcp file you would hold the SHIFT
key down then right mouse click on the file. Select Open With and change the
file association.

As Aln pointed out WHY? Notepad is about as thin easy to edit the .tcp file.
