Re: [Dx4win] QSX in Remarks column
I was connected to W0MU's CC Cluster node when I made this spot: AD1C 18077.7 TX7M QSX 18078.7 1831 23 Oct This was found on DX Summit. I don't see any duplication. I can find lots of other split-frequency spots I made from DX4WIN (found on DX Summit) that don't show the problem. -- Jim Reisert AD1C, , http://www.ad1c.us __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

What cluster node(s) are you connected to when you see the duplication? What software are those node(s) running (i.e. are they running AR-Cluster v. 6.0?)? -- Jim Reisert AD1C, , http://www.ad1c.us __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

I use an ICOM radio (IC-7600 with split frequency support in DX4WIN 8.05). If I spot a station, and the radio is in SPLIT mode, both the Frequency and QSX Frequency fields in the "Announce DX" window will be filled in, and there will be nothing in the comment field (unless I type something there).. When the spot appears on the cluster, "QSX " will be in the comment field of the spot. There does not appear to be any duplication of data. 1. When I log a split-frequency QSO, I get something like: Rx=24,922.1kHz in my "Notes for this QSO field" (QSO | Contest Mode). I don't believe this contributes to the spot that goes out, it's what's read from the radio that counts. 2. I have not tested re-spotting a station that was grabbed from a packet spot where the QSX frequency was in comment field of the grabbed spot. I still don't think this will cause the problem. -- Jim Reisert AD1C, , http://www.ad1c.us __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
