Steve, first of all, the deleted WPX prefixes are in a separate file, not the country file (see below). I find it a little bit strange that you are having problems with AC0 and AC9. I don't see those prefixes (nor AJ7) listed in SAVE\wpxdeltd.txt in my DX4WIN 9.04 installation at work. I only see the following deleted prefixes beginning with the letter 'A': A625 A925 AA96 AC200 AC26 AC400 AC96 AM03 AM07 AM25 AM500 AM92 AN25 AN92 AO04 AO25 AO92 AP50 AX90 Please check your file. Steve N8BJQ also told me: "Caution the users that they should still submit all prefixes whether they are deleted or not for WPX awards." I don't know if this is what DX4WIN normally does or not. I will be starting to release updates to wpxdeltd.txt on Saturdays, along with the calendar and master callsign updates. It may not happen by this Saturday, but certainly the next one (Aug 25). -- Jim Reisert AD1C, , http://www.ad1c.us __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
Re: [Dx4win] Not getting WPX credit for AC9 and AC0
Unfortunately they seem to have problems. Except the list and what it cotains, their main problem is that Lotw and eqsl rules should apply the contents of the list. This does not work for sure. The problem was in a file with prefixes in save directory but I don't remember if wpxdeltd.txt was the problem or another file. I deleted it and I did not update it again as I can not understand why it is useful. This file is supposed to list prefixes that have been deleted, i.e. are not currently valid for the WPX honor roll, according to WPX rules: "Prefixes will be deleted from the Honor Roll listing ten years after they are no longer authorized for use by the governing authority or by the ITU". I suppose since all AC9 and AC0 callsign licenses expired at some point and no new calls were issued, they met the 10 year rule and found themselves in this file (among other prefixes). This effectively means that if we wanted the WPX record in DX4Win to be accurate (per honor roll rules), the wpxdeltd.txt would have to be updated on a continuous basis. I've looked around in the CQ Mag website, but I can't find anything resembling the list of invalid prefixes, so I simply deleted all entries in this file and kept it blank, rendering all worked/confirmed prefixes valid. I should say again that I told that possibly this is a problem ir better this was my problem. I have left blank my wpxdeltd.txt because cq seems to accept everything (at least via eqsl) so I can not check if this is the problem or not. 73 Kostas SV1DPI Στις 6/8/2018 14:29, ο Leonard Kay έγραψε: The second point seems hard to believe. ‘Not currently issued’ is not the same as ‘not authorized by the ITU’.
