I would like to add my voice to the subject - I would also like to see
this mode specific - have been asking for it for years (ever since it
changed from being 2 chars in SSB years ago). Far too easy to make a
mistake when logging then you have to grab the mouse and get back to
edit it all -

Having the extra length for CW is nice because it allows you to add things
like 579C for a chirpy signal for 599K for a guy with key clicks (which
happens WAY too often!). Yes, it takes some getting used to after 20 years
of having the cursor automatically jump to the next field!

It would be nice if Paul was able to implement a RST length limit and
character checking for modes that have shorter RST than what it is now
opened up to. Like back to a max length of 2 for ssb, 3 for cw. I'm kind
of re training my brain but the number of times I have entered both sent/rec
