Hi All: The long-awaited Standard Reserve debit card kickoff will be on Monday, December 11, 2000. Initially we will be working with two certified agents (market makers in e-Gold terms) - Eric Gaither ( Gaithman's - http://businesses.msn.com/GEGE/) and Graham Kelly (Gold Now - http://www.goldnow.st/), both of whom have been working diligently with us to perfect the process. While you will be able to apply for an Instant Anywhere Account at Standard Reserve, they are the only agents who will fund the accounts at present. Other agents will come on board to fund these accounts, as soon as they are certified (yes we do have a certification process). As Graham said "We are in for the long haul. It's going to be exciting!" We will make an official announcement on Monday. Some key issues (to which I would appreciate any feedback): 1. We are prepared internally to handle the avalanche of business. We have a toll-free number with ten seats in our support center dedicated to Standard Reserve support calls. Plus, our VP/Controller is overseeing the support issues to ascertain that we support all of our customers properly. (Real people answering the telephone!). 2. We have gone through thorough testing internally, and are now testing the process with Eric and Graham. They both had to change their sites, and add some pages which we provided. 3. The debit card will be accepted anywhere in the world where any pin-based debit card is accepted (using the Plus or Interlink network). 4. We will promote this to the gold economy, i.e,, those of us who know about electronic gold, and to the other 100 million who don't. We will be doing this through press releases to approx 2,800 media contacts, banner ads, sponsorships on discussion lists, search engines and much more. We want the world to learn more about the gold economy. 5. We have been working diligently to get more merchants on board who will accept Standard Currencies. We are in prototype testing with one group who has 15,000 merchants and we are hoping to have 1,500 on board soon. BTW, we are accepting agent applications at http://www.standardreserve.com We have a certified training program, and can even provide prospective agents with a turnkey business, complete with site, shopping cart, promotion and more.
