[e-gold-list] Re: gold bibliography?

2001-03-11 Thread SnowDog

I would like to recommend a website that has been extremely informative in
the past couple of years. It's run by Steve Kaplan, and it used to be
updated every day, until this past January. Now it's updated whenever he
feels like it. However, read the whole website because the information there
is priceless. He is very good at spotting trends in the price of gold and
knows when to buy and sell gold.

Here is the World Gold Council. They offering excellent information on
world-wide gold demand:

Here is gold eagle. Informative articles are updated every day:

Here are the links on GoldDirectory.com:

I'd like to learn more about the gold market, and I would be grateful
for book recommendations. What would you suggest? Here
are some of the books I found on Amazon/Google:

The Structure and Operation of the World Gold Market (Occasional Paper,
 No 105)
 by Gary O'Callaghan
 December, 1993
 =
 Understanding the Gold Market
 David Rosenthal
 April 1987

 The Gold Market
 by Ronald H. L. Tan

Gold and Other Precious Metals : From Ore to Market
 by Claudia Gasparrini

Green, Timothy. The New World of Gold. Walker, 1982; 1984. "The Inside
Story of the Mines, the Markets, the Politics, the Investors" (title
 page).

Hahn, Emily. Love of Gold. Harper, 1980. Informal treatment of gold's
 role throughout history.

Marx, Jenifer. The Magic of Gold. Doubleday, 1978. World history in
 relationship to gold.

Thanks for any help you may wish to provide.

I don't know if these would come under your category but:

Gold and Liberty - Richard Salsman

Breaking the Banks: Central Banking Problems and Free
Banking Solutions - Richard Salsman

Available here (among other places if I remember right):
http://www.aier.org/publications.html

His new company:

"All the perplexities, confusion and distress in America arise, not from
defects in their Constitution or Confederation, not from want of honor
or virtue, so much as from the downright ignorance of the nature of
coin, credit and circulation." - President John Adams (1735 - 1826)

From the book: Money - by James E. Ewart
