I am unfamiliar with LEDE. If it's a distro, I would suggest asking the distro.
We generally just suggest:
tar xvzf ixgbe-5.3.5.tar.gz
cd ixgbe-5.3.5/src
make
make install
Please read the README in the tarball for more help.
