Graduate Assistantships in Biogeochemistry - Univ. Central Florida

Two funded assistantships (at the RA or TA level) are anticipated for
Fall 2016 to support students interested in pursuing a masters or
doctoral degree in Biology, with a research focus in biogeochemistry.
The Aquatic Biogeochemistry Lab (ABL) at the University of Central
Florida is part of a cluster initiative dedicated to improving the
understanding of Sustainable Coastal Systems. Our research seeks an
interdisciplinary approach to investigating the impacts of stressors and
disturbances (e.g., sea level rise, storm surge, urban stormwater
runoff) on the ecological functioning of wetlands and coastal
ecosystems. Key interests of our group include: understanding carbon
dynamics in flooded soils, utilizing natural systems to remove excess
nutrients in surface water, and investigating soil microbial responses
to environmental stressors.
