*GC050. Monitoring Coastal Change: Physical, Biological, and Chemical
Dynamics on the Coast
<https://agu.confex.com/agu/fm17/preliminaryview.cgi/Session22607>*

Coastal environments are incredibly dynamic and highly susceptible to
climate and environmental change. Changes to both upstream and downstream
boundary conditions can have large and long-lasting effects on coastal
landscapes, and the combined influences of sea level rise, subsidence,
changing temperatures, and varying land-ocean fluxes, in addition to many
other variables, can influence the physical, biological, and chemical
dynamics of the coast. This session aims to bring together studies that
highlight coastal change over a range of temporal and spatial scales, as
well as new methodologies or techniques for measuring and monitoring
coastal environments. In particular, we invite contributions from field and
remote sensing studies that advance our knowledge and understanding of past
and future coastal change and coastal responses to environmental
variability. We encourage submissions from studies examining physical,
biological, and/or chemical coastal dynamics, or feedbacks between these
three spheres.
