How common is to include or request a "similarity report" for submitted papers?
Dear Colleagues: In the last few months, two colleagues, who happen to be from the same country, have either submitted (in the case of authors) or requested (in the case of a reviewer) a "similarity report" for different submitted manuscripts. Is this a new trend in scientific publication? If you have any constructive comments, please send them directly to me. blayjo...@gmail.com Apologies for potentially repeated emails.
