Dear Colleagues: As part of my research, I would like to visit botanical gardens/arboreta in three (yet undetermined) countries located in the southern hemisphere. Ideally, the gardens/arboreta:
1. Located in the southern hemisphere. 2. Are old (say, at least 30 years) and have a high (identified via labels) biodiversity (ideally worldwide but emphasizing the region in which they are located). 3. Somehow associated with a university. 4. Have a very strong outreach/education mission. 5. Relatively easy to collect (in terms of bureaucratic paperwork). Although I am well-familiarized with worldwide botanical gardens database, I would prefer to receive recommendations (positive and negative) of likely institutions that may fit my desiderata. If you have constructive suggestions, please email me off the list: blayjo...@gmail.com Gratefully, Jorge Jorge A. Santiago-Blay, PhD blaypublishers.com 1.
