If you are inclined to donate your money to good causes, this is one worth looking into. We are recent graduates from the University of Florida's Wildlife Ecology and Conservation program and are hoping to spend the summer in Borneo to help return orphaned sun bears to the wild. Management for Malayan sun bears is difficult given their severely understudied status and urgent due to the habitat destruction taking place at an alarming rate on the island of Borneo.

We have been selected by an overseas conservation organization as the new sun bear rehabilitation volunteers to participate in the care and reintroduction of a young bear named Bernie who is currently being rehabilitated in Indonesia. In addition, we will care for 3 additional sun bears in the beginning stages of their rehabilitation processes. This is Bernie's last chance for a wild life! Bernie has been undergoing the rehabilitation process for over a year now and is very close to being successfully reintroduced into her natural habitat in the rain forests of Borneo! Bernie's progress is an amazing accomplishment because over 95% of Malayan sun bear rehabilitations end in failure. Please help us to help Bernie make it over her final hurdle.

Feel free to write with questions.

Thank you.
