A PhD position is available in the Neeson lab (http://neesonlab.oucreate.com)
at the
University of Oklahoma, beginning August 2018. The student will join an
interdisciplinary
team of researchers examining the growth of road networks through time in
Oklahoma, the
effects of roads on ecosystems, and the role of the natural environment in
determining
patterns of road network growth. We welcome applications from students with an
interdisciplinary background, and there is considerable room for the student to
determine
the direction of the project. Strong candidates will have experience in GIS,
excellent verbal
and written communication skills, and the ability to collaborate within an
interdisciplinary
team. The student will be supported with a teaching assistantship (stipend,
tuition waiver
and benefits) and based in the Department of Geography and Environmental
Sustainability
at OU. To apply, send a single PDF with CV, unofficial transcripts and GRE
scores, a brief
statement of research interests and goals, and contact information for three
references to
Dr. Thomas Neeson (nee...@ou.edu). Please apply by Jan. 10 for full
consideration.
