Recommendations on research dissecting photomicroscopes

Dear Colleagues:

I am trying to help a colleague get started imaging fairly small (5mm - 0.1
mm) specimens. This colleague is considering purchasing a decent
research-quality, dissecting photomicroscope (ocular 10x or 15x; objectives
at least 4x, 10X, 40X, and 1-2 with greater magnification), parfocal, with
stacking capabilities, etc.. I already provided my suggestions but I am
sure that the valuable experience of other colleagues will be appreciated.

If you have any constructive recommendations (including make, model, cost)
of equipment that have worked for you, please consider sending me a message
of the listeserver to this email:

blayjo...@gmail.com

With apologies for potentially duplicate emails, gratefully,

Jorge
