Visiting Assistant Professor of Botany
Unity College in Maine is seeking to fill a one year Visiting Assistant 
Professor position in its Ecology and Management Program in the School of 
Biodiversity Conservation. Unity - America's Environmental College - is a 
small, liberal arts college dedicated to transdisciplinary teaching and 
scholarship in sustainability science.

The primary responsibilities of this position include:

  *   Teaching introductory and advanced classes in the Wildlife Biology, 
Wildlife and Fisheries Management and Marine Biology majors such as Biology, 
Ecology, Marine Botany, Systematic Botany, Dendrology and Biology of Plants as 
assigned.

*         Advising and mentoring undergraduate students that are intent on 
pursuing careers in Biology, Marine Biology, Wildlife Biology, Wildlife and 
Fisheries Management or other related fields.

  *   Contribute to faculty service needs as assigned, by serving on campus 
committees as appropriate given position responsibilities.
  *   Contribute to the college's commitment to sustainability.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

  *   Ph.D degree in botany or a related field.
  *   Broadly trained botanist with experience in both terrestrial and 
aquatic/marine habitats.
  *   Previous teaching experience at the college level.
  *   Experience involving undergraduate students in research.
