I have been looking for a while now and either I'm completely missing the loop,
or I'm looking in the wrong place. But does anyone know of any Environmental
Consultant jobs in Montana or Texas? I am due to graduate in May and still have
yet to find a job. Can anyone help?

An M.S. is useful -- more useful than a Ph.D., in fact -- for many types
of non-academic jobs, such as for consulting firms, government agencies,
and many non-governmental organizations. If you want to stay in
academia, though, you might have a problem.

Jason, an MS qualifies you for a GS-7 to GS-9 level federal biologist
position (usajobs.opm.gov). State wildlife biologist positions generally
require an MS as well. With an MS in biology, you are looking at a salary
range of $32-42K.
